| Brisbane OF Supper – 2 February 2012 |
Last Updated: Thursday, 9 February 2012
|
|
Neville Marsh ( S53-61) advises us that OFs in and around Brisbane have got together again for lunch at the Twin Waters Golf Club. Present were Neville and his wife Alison, John Gates (S44-48) and his wife Ruth Gates, Peter Bailey (K34-38) and Peter Simpson (K32-40) and his wife Hetty. Sadly, this was the first occasion they had met up since Peter’s wife Joyce passed away on 17 November 2011. Peter was keeping in good spirits and will soon set off for a reunion of his RAF Squadron in UK.

| South East Supper Report |
Last Updated: Sunday, 6 November 2011
|
James Ruddock-Broyd, supper organiser, reports: Our third SE Supper was held in the cosy surroundings of the Piltdown Golf Club on the 22nd October 2011, where it had been kindly arranged by Andrew Wright. A sprinkling of other Club Members were present.
Seven OFs were accompanied by their wives, and Tony Watson, who was at school in Devon when Norman Borrett arrived there as a master in 1945, came as a guest. As many as 38 OFs had sent apologies, and wanted to attend next time. Susan Webber, recently appointed Senior Deputy Head of the College, represented the Headmaster, and was accompanied by her husband, Grant.

| Inaugural OF Football Match Report |
Last Updated: Saturday, 23 July 2011
|
Teddy Harrington (S 2005-10) reports: The first OF football match took place on a specially prepared pitch on Dicksons on Saturday 16 th July. The quality of the playing surface was such that even torrential rain failed to affect the performance and enthusiasm of the 16 players who opted to demonstrate their silky, occasionally slithery skills on the pitch, rather than skulking indoors safe from the rain, or braving the mud of the Latitude Festival. Unfortunately, due to a few people having to pull-out at last minute for one reason or another, the match had to become an 8-a-side game with Bernard Dyer (Stradbroke Housemaster) very kindly offering to play to even up the numbers, dropping his initial role as Referee’s Assistant (Linesman) to play for ‘Suffolk’, and showing quality bits of skill when required.

| "Let's Just Do It"! - Harrison and Morgan set the pace |
Last Updated: Sunday, 1 October 2006
|
Andy Morgan (G86-91) and Charles Harrison (G83-89)are fed up with just talking to their many OF friends about some sort of year-group event, they've been doing this for ages - but that's all it's ever been, talk.
Now they mean business. They're not sure what the event will be; karting followed by a meal somewhere is one suggestion, but it could be anything. They have no preconceptions, either, about location. What they'd like is lots of feedback from OFs who left between 1988 and 1992 (or, frankly anyone at all) and to make something happen before the end of this year.
Please contact either of them by phone: Andy (07798 743430) or Charles (07929 174456), or by e-mail andysnaps@yahoo.co.uk or charlieros@msn.com
The more the merrier. Please let them know ASAP if you would be interested in getting involved, and with ideas and suggestions for the type of event and location.

James Ruddock-Broyd (G 46-52) has resurrected the old South-East Supper after a gap of many years. This will take place at The Peacock Inn at Piltdown (northwest of Uckfield) on Saturday 28th October, at 7 for 7.30pm.
Dress code: a jacket and tie for the men. There are no particular instructions for ladies, who are always much brighter than chaps about such things.
This is a supper for OFs and guests – and wives, husbands, partners etc. will be most welcome.
For more information, and a link to The Peacock Inn's website, please see Events on the main menu. If you'd like an invitation form, please click here to Email James Ruddock-Broyd.
