Michael Edward GAGE

1969 – 2008

Michael never married although he was very much a family man, being close to his parents Ken and Pat to his sisters Dianna, Sandra and Fiona and later to his nephews and nieces. At school and after he left he always enjoyed rugby and when he no longer played, he supported his nephew Edward by standing on the touchline noisily offering advice.

The great love of his life was skiing and, after several years working in the Alps for a holiday company, he became a supremely confident skier tackling red runs with ease.

Later he worked for ACT Financial Systems in the City and on his death the family received many tributes from his former colleagues.

Michael was devastated when his father Ken died but this soon led to him reinforcing his loving bond with his mother, quietly ‘checking in’ and always ‘being there’ for her.
