Robert Joseph NICHOLLS

1913-2005

At Framlingham a sub-prefect and member of the Rugby XV of 1929, Robert became a Chartered Surveyor and Auctioneer at Witham, Essex. He was a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Auctioneer and Estate Agents Institute. Robert served in the Second World War in the U.K. and West Africa, rising to the rank of Captain in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps. Coincidentally, Robert was in the first English class that W.E.Winstanley taught at Framlingham and his son George the last.
