Harold R TOWNSHEND MBE (Hon. OF)
Brook Hall, Bramfield, Halesworth, Suffolk.
Harry was a Governor of the College for fourteen years and an authority on forestry. With this expertise he was a great asset in the management of the surprising number of trees both at Framlingham, including the mere, and Brandeston. Trees, hedges, grassland, ditches and drains, the whole landscape had been his special care, and the Governors and those who new what he did were gratified when he agreed to stay on as Honorary Adviser on Landscaping, after his retirement in 1987.
