I have just seen the OF digest email regarding Charlie VG' s bike ride to Spain retracing our epic ride to San Feliu in 1963.

John Birt's reply is very accurate indeed. I only hope the Charlie enjoys his ride as much as we did.. Incidentally our first night in France was spent in a chalk quarry which we only found out when massive trucks laden with the white stuff started to trundle by first thing in the morning.

As far as photos are concerned the trip snapper was Merv Hughes.
