Speech Day 2018 was, as ever, a joyful event tinged with sadness as a new leaving-group started to go their separate ways. Archie Winter and Coral Langridge, the Society’s latest Moreau Leaving Scholars have, as a vital part of their role, the responsibility for helping to sustain and nourish the bonds of friendship that have grown through the years, and have both expressed their enthusiasm and determination to succeed. You can follow this LINK to read their Scholar Profiles.
On receiving their scholarships from the distinguished surgeon, Miss Nicola Fearnhead, they immediately became members of the Society of Old Framlinghamians, members of its Council, and members of the Young OFs committee.
Our scholars were welcomed into the Society by SOF President, John Ellerby; former presidents, Richard Sayer, Norman Porter and Simon Dougherty; David Mallett, Chairman of Selectors; Nick Whitehead, Member of the selection Panel, Archie’s Mentor, and Chair of the Young OFs Committee; and Peter Howard-Dobson, mentoring co-ordinator.
