Peter Gasgoyne-Lockwood (R57-64) who led the OF tour to France and Belgium in April 2014 writes : "Join us when we visit Ypres (11 -14 August 2017) during the 100th anniversary of the 3rd Battle of Ypres (Passchendaele). One of Framlingham College's Victoria Cross winners William Hewitt (1894-1900), received this award for his bravery on the 20 September 1917. We will visit the area where this action took place. In May this year a plaque to the boys and masters from the school will be dedicated at St George's Church in Ypres, we will visit the church.
