Patrick Spraggs (G04-09) now wins Suffolk Open in addition to Suffolk PGA and Eastern Counties Championship |

FURTHER SUCCESS : Patrick has now won the Michael Faraday Cup as Suffolk Open champion for the third time in his career. He had two rounds of one over par 71 to force a play-off with Robert Salter which he won at the fifth extra hole at Haverhill. He won in 2010 and 2011 as an amateur at Stowmarket. Patrick is in his 2nd year as a trainee PGA Assistant a Professional at Woodbridge GC and is aiming towards competing in the Europro tour 2016. He is seeking sponsors to assist him on his exciting journey, offering them advertising on his apparel, golf equipment and car! Read full report here.
UPDATE: Patrick has now just become Eastern Region Champion. He is now two away from the BMW PGA at Wentworth next year with McIlroy etc.
Original Story : Congratulations to Patrick Spraggs (G04-09) on winning the Suffolk PGA Championship at Stowmarket Golf Club on Thursday 14th May. Patrick had rounds of 68 (-1) and 71 (+2) to win by 2 shots. He also won the Trainees Championship. Despite a triple bogey in his morning round, he finished with 3 straight birdies to lead the field by two shots and a steady afternoon round, saw him seal victory. Patrick has now won all 3 of the Suffolk Major titles: Amateur, Open and PGA.
