On Saturday 4th October Brandeston Hall's 1st IV Shooting Team have their first competition against the Old Framlinghamians' Rifle Club (O.F.R.C) in the school's new range at 9 o'clock. The Hall's coach is none other than the Headmaster and Framlingham College's Contingent Commander, Lt Col Martin Myers-Allen who is donating a magnificent trophy called the Framlingham College Officer Training Corps (F.C.O.T.C) Recruits Cup as an apt annual prize. This was awarded to Arthur Basil Clarke (OF) in 1928. Nigel Burnip (OF) is leading the O.F.R.C team in what promises to be a splendid shooting meet and hopefully the start of an association which will continue for many years to come.
