Ted Harrington (S 2005-10), one of our Moreau Leaving Scholars, has been in touch about his recent appointment to the Board of Governors at the University of Chichester, where he’s taken on a Student Representative role.
Ted’s taken a lively interest in student affairs since joining his course. He says: "Being nominated to join the Board is a great honour, and I feel incredibly privileged that Marc Slowey, the 2013-14 Students' Union President, put my name forward and has given me this opportunity to support him in his role on the Board. I am proud to represent the student voice and participate in discussions during board meetings."
Ted’s appointment took effect in early September, and will continue through until July 2014, when he’s set to finish his Event Management degree at the University.
We hear that this isn’t the only role that Ted’s taken on recently. He’s also been elected as the Student Union’s Bognor Regis Campus Officer, and he’s busy listening to students’ view and working with the Student Union to make sure everyone gets the best out of their student experience.
Ted goes on to say, "Working with the SU is incredible, and my new role on the Board of Governors means that I can give direct feedback from my Campus Officer work. It’s great to feel I can make a real difference to the overall student experience”.
