Following a very successful Autumn Meeting the OFGS team took on Aldeburgh Golf Club the following day, Saturday 10 September. A lovely day was had by all, but unfortunately the match was lost 6 ½ – 3 ½.
Morning matches - Robin Anderton & Jonnie Newton lost to Stephen Barnard & Simon Ball Michael Spencer & Martin Lamb lost to Gordon Gibbs & Edward Hyde Dudley Holland & Brian Evans halved with Ronnie Bulgin Richard Newton (Jonny’s father) & Roger Wharton lost to Graeme Scott & Ian Henderson Matt Stolls & Jim Crosbie lost to John Raison & Robin Rowell.
Afternoon matches – Jonny Newton & Charlie Plunkett halved with Colin Taylor & Simon Ball Robin Anderton & Mike Spencer lost to Dick Chard & Michael Marson Gavin Cowell & Martin Lamb beat Graeme Scott & Mark Palmer Clive Cooksey & Matt Stolls beat David Perfect & Ian Henderson Roger Wharton & Jim Crosbie halved with Giles Webster & Edward Hyde
